Individual German Lessons

Time based on your schedule, 30 min/week;
Private lessons are available to anyone ages 4+ at both beginner and Intermediate levels. These classes are designed individually based on age and experience. They meet once or twice per week for 30 minutes via zoom or in person. In addition to general knowledge and grammar (for older children based on textbooks and workbooks), we will spend Spring Term learning about sports!

Monday class for intermediate learners classroom/ZOOM March 28th – June 6th
Monday, 4:30-5:30pm
Students will continue learning about neighboring countries of Germany. Fun facts, geography, history, poetry, and art will be combined in small projects on our trip through Europe. We will practice all skills – speaking, listening, writing, and reading. This term, we will visit Czech Republic, Poland, and Denmark.

Thursday class for beginning learners /ages 6-7 classroom March 28th – June 5th
Thursday, 3:15-4:15pm
Our youngest learners will be learning topics centered around the house – furniture, free-time, etc. We will begin to expand our sentences to include location words. Classes are balanced with a mixture of games, songs, drawing, labeling and bookwork.

Thursday class for beginning learners /ages 8-10 classroom March 28th – June 5th
Thursday, 4:30-5:30pm
This age group will be exploring household items and building verb vocabulary around free-time activities. Grammatically, we will continue working on verb conjugation, continue looking at the structure of prepositional phrases (transitioning from “I have a red shirt. It has buttons.” to “I have a red shirt with buttons.”) and using location words. Classes utilize games, art and bookwork to provide a comprehensive experience.

Friday class for beginning learners /ages 11+
zoom only March 28th – June 5th
Friday, 4:15-5:15pm
This class is designed for children transitioning to, or already in, middle school. These students will learn to describe their surroundings – both inside and outside the home. We will focus on reading intermediate level texts, continue looking into indefinite and possessive articles, and expanding our sentences to use multiple prepositional phrases. Games, art, and group projects are used in addition to books and worksheets to keep students engaged in the learning process.

Saturday Crafting

Crating meetings are for students ages 5+ at both beginner and Intermediate levels. These meetings serve as an informal gathering to hear and use German language (phrases, vocabulary, sentences), hear German music and have fun by creating a take-home project. Every month brings a new theme that are designed individually based on age and experience. They meet monthly in person and are free, however a donation of $10 per visitor is welcome.
April 16 Class – Easter Craft and Egg Hunt
Join us April 16th as we craft eggs out of paper and fabric scraps. We will learn Easter related words, and maybe sing some songs. After that, we will be holding an Easter Egg hunt on the playground. Come for the fun, stay for the treats!

April 30 – May Day Celebration
Come celebrate the joys of Spring at our May Day event. After crafting a May Day basket and flowers, we will head outside and enjoy the weather with traditional and contemporary May Day games.
