Please join us every month via ZOOM on a Tuesday (usually the second Tuesday) at 6-7pm for a presentation on various topics from German culture, language and research. German and English languages use based on the proficiency of visitors.

Dresden: “Florence on the Elbe” –
A personal view (Part 1)

Barbara Rossbacher grew up in Dresden, often called “Florence on the Elbe.” There she experienced the destruction of the city in February of 1945, the end of World War II and life under the socialist regime of the former German Democratic Republic. Since the reunification of Germany in 1990 she has traveled many times to Dresden and will share her experiences and her personal view of this amazing city, its history and culture. (All levels of proficiency welcome, English and German used.)
